NRMC Membership

Membership in NRMC is open to qualified not-for-profit organizations that provide multi-family, affordable housing in the United States.    

NRMC has two classes of membership: voting and non-voting.

Voting Membership:  Each entity eligible to be a voting member shall be (1) either a not-for-profit organization which has obtained the designation of a NeighborWorks® organization (“NWO”) and which has also qualified as a member of the Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation’s Multi-Family Housing Initiative, or any other not-for-profit organization which the NRMC Board of Directors may determine is organized and operated to advance NRMC’s purposes, and (2) shall meet standards for membership which the Board of Directors establishes from time to time.  These factors include the following:  loss ratios, loss control history, frequency and severity of past losses, as well as other underwriting factors.   Each voting member must submit a completed Membership Application, agree to adhere to NRMC''s underwriting guidelines and policies and enter into a Membership Agreement with NRMC.    

Non-Voting Membership:  Non-voting members may be admitted to NRMC upon such terms and conditions as the Board of Directors may prescribe.  However, such members must be be not-for-profit community development entities whose activities are consistent with the goals and purposes of NRMC or NWA. Non-voting members enjoy the same privileges as voting members of NRMC except that they do not vote at annual meeting or on any other matters for which voting members are entitled to vote.  Each non-voting member must submit a completed Membership Application, agree to adhere to NRMC's underwriting guidelines and policies and enter into a Membership Agreement with NRMC.
