The following coverages are included in the core NRMC Policies: Property (Real and Personal), Business Interruption, Extra Expense, Rental Income, Flood, Earthquake, Equipment Breakdown (Boiler), Builder's Risk (for buildings being kept in long term rental portfolio), Vacant Buildings, Vacant Land, Personal and Advertising Liability, Employee Benefits Liability, General Liaiblity, Automobile (including Hired, Non-Owned and Garagekeepers Legal Liability) and Umbrella Liability. Information relating to our coverages can be obtained from HUB, our insurance broker. Ancillary Coverage Information What coverages are not included in the core NRMC Program and would require separate placement? The following coverages are not included within the core NRMC Policies: Crime coverages, Directors & Officers (D&O), Employment Practices Liability (EPL), Professional Liability (PL), Special Events, Workers' Compensation (WC), Fiduciary, National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) coverage, Pollution Liability, Builders Risk Liability (BRL) coverage for properties intended to be sold. Members should contact the Anna Heredia directly by emailing certificate information to her at: anna.heredia@hubinternational.com. Are certificates sent directly to the certificate holders? Yes, all certificates are mailed by HUB directly to the certificate holders. What if a Lender requires a specific insurance certificate? HUB can only provide ACORD 27 or 28 on Property and ACORD 25 on Liability based on new Federal regulations. HUB is unable to provide any other forms. The Retention is an annual amount underwriters have determined that is set aside to pay approved claims. This amount is part of your total premium. How does a Retention work? On the property coverages, the Retention pays approved claims in excess of the deductible. On the liability coverages, the Retention pays claims within the Self Insured Retention (SIR). Who determines the amount of the Retention in the NRMC Program? The primary insurance carriers, in consultation with HUB and the NRMC staff, determine the amount of the Retention for each line of business applicable. Premium Financing What is Premium Financing? Premium Financing allows a Member to spread itsinsurance payments over several months instead of paying in one lump sum. The finance company charges an Annual Percentage Rate (APR). A minimum downpayment to HUB (to pay the carriers) may be required, and the balance of payments are made over the remaining months.
